Deir Ezzor: is the most important urban center in the east of Syria. Its River is the civilization throughout the ages. With the formation of AL-Assad Lake, it is possible now to regulate its once capricious flow and to make plans for new harvests. The River divides the City into two parts and a floating river island. The Museum: contains about 25,000 pieces .The archeological antiques date back to various ages, from the Modern Stone Ages to the Islamic ones. Also, it contains types of houses in natural size in addition to the skeletons, clay and glass antiques. Al Mayadeen: It's located in the middle of a fertile plain. AL-Mayadeen is considered as the most important market of commercial exchange between Bedouins and peasants. Ar Rahba Citadel: It's also called Malek Bin Tawq Citadel. Rahba Citadel is an Arab fortress perched on a rocky spur, which looks formidable from a distance, but on closer inspection it turns out to be sadly dilapidated. Around it appear the ruins of a town dating back to the Abbasid Caliph Haroun Ar-Rashid. Zalabiyeh: 8,275 visitors in 1999 . A line of external defensive wall and high towers surrounds it. There are 8 towers in a good condition. It contains two courtyards and many buildings. Zalabiyeh Castle, whose simpler rectangular curtain wall is rather better preserved, the outline of its towers is clearly visible from Halabiyeh.
